Daisy Red Ryder Vintage Toy Gun

INV. # G135790011  Daisy Red Ryder Model 938 Toy Gun

This toy gun we believe to be circa 1977 or perhaps a bit earlier.  The cocking handle is aluminum and works very well. The stock is wood with no rear site.  The barrel is painted metal and on the barrel is says: " DAISY MODEL 938 TOY GUN, ROGERS ARKANSAS, USA".  The red Ryder lariat picture is on the right side of the gun handle. The trigger is also aluminum. The previous owners indicated that the uncle had placed the orange plastic safety cap into the barrel of the gun to distinguish it from a real weapon some years back for his nephew and the child pushed it further up the stock by constantly tapping it on the ground. It appears as if it could be removed and a new one put on if you so desired.  The barrel did not suffer any damage due to this. This is a toy gun only and is being sold as a collectible. Thank You for your interest!  I do not ship toy weapons outside of the United States.

Vintage Set Of Halco Toy Cap Pistols

Inv. #  G135790012  Pair of Halco Cap Guns

Here is a fine pair of Halco toy cap guns. I know that the diamond pattern with an H in the center immediately identifies them as a Halco product or Leslie Henry. The stock and barrel is a type of metal, not really heavy enough to be cast iron. The grips appear to be glued together rather than screwed on to make a single unit and the entire gun looks to be molded. They have staghorn grip patterns. The Halco Comapny was known as the J. Halpern Company of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and their toy guns had the reputation for quality. Halco was a high volume distributor to other major retail outlets selling millions of Cap Guns produced by other companies. It was a known fact that some of the manufacturing companies would put the HALCO name on the guns they produced for Halco.  These could be Halco Marshal guns. The top flips up with the words "load here" that holds a roll of caps. The flip is a little loose on one. The triggers on both guns work well and all parts are present.   FREE SHIPPING in the lower 48 US states on this item. I do not ship toy weapons outside of the United States. The orange safety caps are removeable.  Circa 1950-59
Size: 9" Long and 3" Wide at the trigger

Vintage Python 357 Cylinder 8 Shot

Inv. # G135790014    Python 357 8 shots

This toy cap gun is metal and is styled to look like a burnished bronze. It has a star and an A on the handle. The other side has a picture of a cowboy with hat and bandana. The cylinder spins and the gun opens with the push of a button. The cylinder is removable.  The handle looks to be seamed and is burnished black plastic. It says "python 357" on the barrel side. Trigger works well as does the push button release. It does not show signs of heavy use.  I would say that it is in Excellent Vintage Condition.  I do not ship toy guns or weapons outside of the United States.
Size: 7" Long 4" Wide Including Handle

Antique Folk Art Horse and Rider Table Prop Wooden Toy    SOLD!

Inv. # G135790015  Antique Wooden Folk Art Horse and Rider Toy     SOLD
This is just wonderful! An estate find and the previous owner said that it was made about 1885 by her great-grandfather. The toy is in excellent condition. It is all wood with a cast iron metal bar that secures underneath the horse. The rider sitting on the horse has head, arms and torso that moves. The hands hold reins. The tail of the horse moves. There is a wooden balance cylinder on the bottom of the cast iron wire covered in what appears to be a thin piece of wood with worn black felt sides. This weight is a counter balance to the horse's hind legs that sits on the edge of a table top while the weight goes at an angle underneath the table holding the horse at the edge. When a puff of air from a passing person hits the horse, it's head begins to move up and down and the rider's head and arms pump as if in a full gallop! Just wonderful! The horse is carved from very light wood, has double sides joined with braces. It is hand painted with hand pencil drawings for the ears and eyes of the horse and face of the girl. The original wood shows great patina.  Everything is intact and it works!  In Excellent Vintage Condition.  CircA 1885

Antique Handmade/Handpainted Wooden Dancing Doll Pull Toy

ITEM:  G135790016
Vintage Antique Austrian Dancing Toy

This wonderful little wooden pull dancing doll is stamped "Made in Austria" on the backside. It appears to have 12 separate parts. These dolls were meant to be used more as a novelty toy and today many people collect them. They are usually displayed on a Christmas tree.  This doll is hand painted as all were and designed individually making each unique.  You would pull the cords and watch this little guy dance!

The strands of the old cord appear to be a two toned braided hemp or some other fibrous material. The doll is 7 inches in height, 3 inches wide, and 1 inch in diameter at the head. The original enamel paint is still glossy. The cute little mark on the forehead represents a whiff of hair.  He has brown hair but the tuff is black! His color s includes ivory, green, red, yellow, brown and black. This antique toy is in Excellent Vintage Condition. The strings are frayed a bit but intact and because of their condition they do not operate all of the toy parts. This can be easily fixed if so desired. We wanted to leave this toy in  the condition we found it in.

Antique Circus Premium Spinning Whirligig Circa 1905

Inv. # G135790017
ANTIQUE WHIRLIGIG CIRCUS PREMIUM Circa 1905

We believe this toy to be classified as folk art and is a gyrating (click here for more pictures) spinning whirligig also know as "Never-Stop-See-Saw" that was possibly made of tin and coated with Zinc. This toy is is circa 1905. Barnum and Bailey, as well as the Ringling Brothers Circus offered such prizes for the boys; whereas girls may have chosen a Kewpie doll while visiting the venders to test out their skills.

This toy stands 11 inches tall and is 7.25" wide and will need a diameter of at least 8 inches to twirl. The tow figures appear to be jockeys vying for the lead position as they twirl down spinning to the finish. The figures are painted red, blue, yellow and brown and most of the paint is still intact with good color, little fading. The hats look to be worn off some if they ever had color on them. ( Could have been white?) The wooden base also has remnants of original paint and serves as the finish line as the player simply turns the toy over and it begins again. this light-weight toy weighs only 4 1/2 ounces. There is no indication of a manufacturer's mark or any sign of the factory that may have turned these out. Thank you for looking!

Condition: Excellent Vintage, original condition with most of the paint in tact or at least visible. Some rust does show through but this could be left as is or restored to near perfection. Otherwise, no dents, breaks or missing parts. It works quite well.
